On the passing of long time Keansburg Educator Jeanette Grogan

The Mayor and Council of the Borough of Keansburg
mourn the passing of Jeanette Grogan

Jeanette was a dedicated teacher in
the Keansburg School District for nearly 35 years.

During those years Jeanette was also a trusted
advisor and mentor to many of our young residents.

Her compassion and generous spirit touched the lives of her
students, colleagues and members of the community.

On behalf of the People of Keansburg,
the Mayor and Council extend their sincere condolences to her Family.

Message from the Keansburg Mayor and Council – Beaches and Parks

Beaches, Parks and Playgrounds

The Borough of Keansburg is pleased to announce that as per Governor Murphy’s Executive Orders No. 133, beaches will reopen on Saturday, May 2, 2020 with the following guidelines in accordance with CDC guidance regarding safe access of beaches and parks:

1.Advises individuals to stay six feet away from other visitors

2.Individual wearing of masks and / or facial covering

3.Decline participation in organized sports and recreational activities

4.Contact sport of any type should be avoided

5.Visit parks close to home to limit travel distances

6.Passive recreation is encouraged, such as fishing, walking, running/jogging, biking

7.Collins Field Tennis Courts will also be open

Picnic areas, playgrounds, and public restrooms shall remain closed at this time.

The Borough will reserve the right to close and/or limit access to  beaches and parks should large crowds start to gather.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING CANCELLATION – FEBRUARY 10, 2020

BOROUGH OF KEANSBURG PLANNING BOARD

PROPOSED NON-CONDEMNATION REDEVELOPMENT AREA

 

PLEASE BE ADVISED, the public hearing regarding the Redevelopment Study and Preliminary Investigation Report for Blocks 7, 8, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, and 52 (all lots), dated January 22, 2020, will not be heard at tonight’s regularly scheduled February 10, 2020 Planning Board meeting.  It is intended for the public hearing regarding the Redevelopment Study to be scheduled for the Planning Board’s next regularly scheduled meeting on March 9, 2020. The public hearing and all properties within the study area will be re-noticed pursuant to the applicable requirements in the Local Redevelopment Housing Law.

Being that there are no other items scheduled on the agenda the Planning Board meeting for tonight, February 10, 2020 has been cancelled.
