On September 9, 2019 reconstruction of the Laurel Avenue Bridge will begin. Construction is expected to last until Memorial Day 2020.
The Academy Bus Detour Route will be:
Laurel Avenue to Tenth Street,
Tenth Street becomes Church Street at the Waackaack Creek Bridge,
Church Street to Carr Avenue,
Carr Avenue to Beachway, Route returns to normal schedule path at Raritan Avenue.

TAKE NOTICE that the Borough of Keansburg has filed a request with the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP), Green Acres Program, proposing to dispose a 0.6 acre portion of the Keansburg Beachway Avenue Public Parking Lot in connection with the Borough’s extension of the existing Baywalk to the northeast, which will be directly accessible by a new enhanced parking area with sufficient parking to be reserved for public use. As compensation for the proposed disposal, the Borough of Keansburg proposes to list a 1.204 acre portion of Block 184, Lot 3.03, owned by the Borough of Keansburg (the go-kart portion of said lot) as a proposed compensation parcel for the proposed disposal.
Pursuant to N.J.A.C. 7:36-26.6(c), a hearing to obtain public comment on this request will be held at the George E. Kauffmann Municipal Building, 29 Church St, Keansburg, NJ 07734 on January 22, 2020 at 7:00pm.

Bids are being solicited through a fair and open process in accordance with N.J.S.A. 19:44A-20.5 for the purchase of $567,731 Bond Anticipation Notes, Series 2020A (the “Notesâ€) of the Borough of Keansburg, in the County of Monmouth, New Jersey (the “Borough†or the “Issuerâ€). All bids will be publicly opened and announced at the office of the Borough Chief Financial Officer on Friday, January 24, 2020, at 11:00 a.m., prevailing local time (“Sale Dateâ€).

REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL
           NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that sealed Proposals will be received by the Borough of Keansburg (the “Municipalityâ€), State of New Jersey, on January 10, 2019 in the Borough of Keansburg’s Clerks Office, located at 29 Church Street, Keansburg, NJ 07734 at 11:00 am local prevailing time.
The performance of a complete revaluation of all real properties located within the Municipality, as of October 1, 2020, to be effective for the 2021 tax year (also referenced as the “projectâ€).
All requirements associated with the project are set forth in a Request for Proposals package. Such packages may be obtained from the Municipal Clerk’s Office, at 29 Church Street, Keansburg, NJ 07734, telephone number (732) 787-0215 ext. 112, during regular business hours, 9:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M., Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. Any questions regarding the Request for Proposals should be directed to the Municipal Clerk’s Office at the telephone number and/or address specified above.
This project shall be awarded through a “fair and open†process pursuant to N.J.S.A.19:44A-20.4, et seq., to the Contractor whose Proposal is most advantageous to the Municipality, price and other factors considered, in accordance with the review criteria set forth in the Request for Proposals.
All Contractors who submit a Proposal must be able to demonstrate that they are capable of completing the project so that the revaluation may be implemented for the 2021 tax year, under the applicable time tables set forth in the Assessment Demonstration Program (P.L. 2013 Ch. 15), which was recently signed into law (S1213, A1591). This is a material and essential component of the project.
The Municipality reserves the right to reject any or all submissions due to any defects or waive informalities and accept any submissions that in its judgment will be in the best interest of the Municipality. The Municipality shall award the Contract or reject all submissions no later than sixty (60) days from receipt of same.
