Hydrant Flushing April 21st to May 21st 2021

The Keansburg Water Department will commence HYDRANT FLUSHING your water distribution system on April 21st, 2021. Regular flushing is required by the State and is done to improve the aesthetic quality of the water by removing any accumulated non-harmful sediment in the water remains.

This work should be completed by May 21st, 2021. All flushing will be done between the hours of 9:00
p.m. and Midnight to minimize public inconvenience. The quality of water will not be affected, although some temporary discoloration or reduction in pressure may occur briefly in the areas being flushed.

Residents are advised to CHECK THE WATER before washing clothing.

Thank you for your cooperation

2020 Property Revaluation Inspections

Inspections for 2020 Revaluation:

The Borough of Keansburg is under contract with Realty Appraisal Company to inspect all properties located in the Borough this year.

These inspections verify the accuracy of property records in support of this year’s revaluation (mandated by both New Jersey and Monmouth County), which is a critical component in the fair distribution of taxes.

A notification was mailed to all property owners, which was followed by an exterior-only inspection due to public health concerns.

An additional visit to each property is also being made.  During that visit, you will have the option of completing an interior inspection via walk through or by contacting Realty Data Systems (RDS) to complete a “remote virtual” (RV) inspection which requires no entry.

During walk throughs inspectors will respect social-distancing and wear masks when inside any property.

The RV is user-friendly, requires no app downloads and can be completed by calling (732) 719-2265 from your smart phone at any time between 9am and 5pm, Monday-Friday (no appointments required).  Please make sure you are at your property when calling.
